Well, I just had the heebie-jeebies scared out of me. I was watching tv in the living room, when all of the sudden the fire alarms in the hallway and inside the apartment started going off. I heard the doors that are usually propped open in the hallway all slam shut. I jumped up and kinda ran in circles for a second trying to figure out what I should do. So I grabbed my purse and cell phone and went into the hallway. I saw one of my neighbors in the hall and asked what we do (I didn't know if this was some unannounced alarm test or if it was real) and she said we should just head down the stairs. Just kinda made me nervous b/c I'm not used to living in a building like this. So we went down and kinda hung out in the parking lot for a while. There is an alarm indicator in the entrance downstairs and it indicated where the alarm was. So we waited til that turned green and until it was obvious nothing was going on and came back inside. Yeah, kinda freaked me out. Especially when a few minutes later I saw a fire engine leaving the parking lot and the firemen were all geared up. So, it looks like it was just a false alarm, thank goodness! Eek!
