Happy belated 4th to everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends!
This year, we were invited by our friends Heather and Jim to go with them to Jim's parents' cabin "up north". We headed up Friday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. We had absolutely beautiful weather - lots of sunshine!
Friday night, they had fireworks out on the lake - we took the boat to the lookout area. Oh my, you would not believe all the boats! I think Michael counted 45 and we weren't even in the main area! These people are crazy about their lakes and boats here!
Saturday, the guys went fishing for a bit. Then we all headed to the 4th of July parade in Pequot Lakes - a nearby little lake town. It was actually a pretty big ordeal! I couldn't remember the last parade I had been to, so it was actually pretty fun! Then we spent the rest of the day cruising around on the boat and enjoying the nice weather. That night we had a yummy 4th of July BBQ with ribs, cole slaw, and potato salad.
