Andrew is 9 months old!
I would say the past month has been a big month for Andrew! To sum it up, it's been all about food and mobility! That's right, our little guy is officially on finger foods (some) and he is officially crawling and pulling up on everything!
I took him for his 9 month dr appt a couple of weeks ago. And get ready for this....he weighed 20 lbs, 1 oz!! He was in the 57%!!!! At his 6 month appt, he had finally (for the first time in his life) jumped up from the 5th to the 20%! In fact, I looked back to compare to Joseph and at 9 months, Joseph was only 18 1/2 lbs! Such a big change considering how much bigger Joseph started off and with Andrew's weight gain issue in the beginning. He was 27.5 in long (19%) and head is 55%.
We've been a little slower with foods...mainly because I introduced them a little later and Andrew didn't show much interest for quite a while. Now I think he is getting the hang of it. I try to do 3 meals a day for him in his high chair, if possible. He typically gets fruit in the morning, veggie for lunch and oatmeal for dinner. He is also eating the little puffs and some cheerios too to start on some table foods. He's had a few bites of banana, cooked carrots and tiny pieces of bread. As he continues getting better with these, we will start him on other foods and some meat.
The week he turned 9 months old, he started doing a little army crawl. He only did it for about a week and then he figured the crawling thing out! He can do it on all fours, but he tends to put one foot on the floor and push off that way so he can go faster!
The most fun thing I think is that now that he is mobile, I feel like he and Joseph are becoming true buddies and playmates. Over the past week, they have really started playing with each other a lot. Joseph actually will go up to Andrew and try to make him laugh to get him engaged and then try to play mail and other things he and I play. It's been so precious to watch.
Andrew still doesn't have any teeth yet! He has been going through some major teething pains lately and his gums are swollen, but still so signs of his first tooth yet! He had been sleeping good at night but now his sleep has gotten kinda thrown off with the teething stuff (ug). But last night, he slept the entire night and even slept til 7am - wahoo!
He is such a happy and sweet baby. Many people comment on how happy and content he is. He really is easy going and definitely loves to cuddle with his momma. He is getting excited when he sees Michael too and will turn away and lean towards him when he comes home so Michael will hold him - so sweet!
