Remember Michael's original boss from when we moved here that has the lakehouse up north? Well, he offered to let us use his cabin for the weekend since he wouldn't be going. So we got there Friday night, got our groceries for the weekend and settled in. It really is such a beautiful cabin. They've put a lot of money and time into fixing it up even more, so it really makes you feel like you are renting a cabin on the lake!
Saturday, the weather was kind of blah. It rained off and on through out the day. But we just played games, grilled some hot dogs for lunch and then that night before the sunset we took the boat out so Michael could do a bit of fishing. The lake was super still when we went out - it was like riding on glass! Sat night Michael grilled us some yummy steaks with some beans for dinner. So good! We topped off our celebration by finishing an entire pack of oreos between the two of us over a course of a day and a half. Good times!
Sunday we went out for another boat ride and then headed back to pack things up. It was a nice little weekend getaway...very relaxing! Here are a few pics and a video of our boat ride when the lake was super still.
