We are super excited – Michael’s parents come to visit today! They arrive today at 5pm and will be here thru next Monday morning! Unfortunately, Michael and I will have to work tomorrow – but then we will be off Thursday & Friday to have a 4 day weekend with them! We have some new and fun things planned for their visit here – but you’ll have to check back early next week to read about what we did and see pics!
On another note, we are finally having summer weather! Very summer weather actually! Yesterday got to about 93 and the high today is 95! Yea! And yes, the "extreme heat" advisories have been issued. I have to give it to them though - it is a bit warm!

Wild River State Park
This weekend we went camping with Becky and Brendan at Wild River State Park. It was only about an hour and a half from where we live and is right on the St. Croix River which is the border between MN and Wisconsin. It was our first time to go camping in MN and it was gorgeous!
The park was along 14 miles of the river - it was all very wooded and so pretty. We had gorgeous weather - in the 80s during the day and then 60s at night. Saturday, we went for a hike along the river and then stopped to soak our feet in the water. That night Michael grilled some yummy pork chops and Brendan made some potatoes to go with it. It was a very relaxing weekend - lots of time to just visit and enjoy being outdoors in WARM weather!
Also, Becky and Brendan recently got engaged, so we had fun talking with them about the wedding plans, looking at bridal magazines, etc. :) A couple of weekends ago, they asked us to be a bridesmaid and groomsman in their wedding! We are so honored and thankful for having them as good friends!

A hawk we saw while on our hike (ok to be honest, I thought it was an owl or something but the guys said it was a hawk...so I'll go with what they said on this on)
