Since I don't really do monthly updates for Joseph anymore, I thought I would post a little update of things he has been up to lately!
Joseph is still such a silly little guy. He has a crazy fascination with lights and always has to let me know if he spots a light bulb that is out. He is all about giving kisses too. In fact last night before bed, he kissed the wall on the way to go read books with Michael. Ha!
He is so great with Andrew and is really sweet with him. Anytime Andrew spits up or is drooling, Joseph will say "Mama, shoo!". If Andrew is crying he will go up to him and say "Baby, baby!" in his cute little voice. He also likes to bring him toys and grab Andrew's hand to try to get him to pick it up.
He has always slept with his little bunny for a while now. Then he added his big bunny to the mix. Then a few weeks ago, we went to my niece Sarah's birthday party at Build a Bear. He got to build a little white bear who we named Joey, but he more commonly goes by "Bear". So now Bear has joined the family of little animals that Joseph must have with him to go to bed at night. He is so cute the way he organizes them all and then dives down on them head first to snuggle his head in and under them.
His latest thing is using his little step stool for everything. If I'm washing bottles or something in the sink, he will bring it over and stand and watch every little thing I do. If I am making something in the kitchen, he likes to bring the chair over and sit and be my little helper. And he remains Michael's little sweet shadow, always by his side and so eager to do everything his daddy is doing.
Also, about a month ago, I had bought Joseph a little potty to begin getting him familiar with it. I had kept it in the box for a while and then one night he told Michael "teetee" and ran and pointed to the box. So Michael got it out and Joseph sat down and went teetee his very first try! He was so excited and of course we were jumping for joy. He kept saying "More teetee!" and probably sat down 3 more times to go! I haven't really started full fledge potty training yet and will definitely wait a little bit longer now that we are moving in the next week or so. But, he still goes every single night before his bath, so I'm glad he has time to ease into it and still look at it as something fun.
