10 Months

What a fun month it's been with Joseph!

He has been doing SO much better at nighttime...and that definitely results in a happier mommy! ;) He is still eating like crazy - his favorites are avocado pieces, cheese, and sweet potato. He actually gets frustrated sometimes when he runs out of his finger foods!

As mentioned in the previous post, I think the most exciting new skill Joseph has accomplished is him learning to crawl! Every day he is going further and further. Just a few minutes ago before bed, I actually got him to crawl all the way across the living room to get to me. He's so cute when he does it because he looks down at his hands and then sometimes he gets too excited or gets going to fast and he'll nose dive. But he has already learned how to get back up onto his knees and from his knees he can sit down. So needless to say, the majority of my day is spent trying to keep him from touching things that he shouldn't touch.

Another skill that has become his favorite thing to play is stacking. He likes to stack the blocks on top of each other, as well as his stacking cups. He also enjoys his music toys and gets really excited when he makes noise on his little piano and xylophone.

He sure loves his daddy and always reaches for Michael's nose. These days, he is all about reaching for things....or really reaching for everything. Even when things are far away or he sees someone walk into a room from 20 feet away, he will stick out his hand for them. He had a great time at Cheesecake Factory the other night trying to grab all the waiters as they walked by!

A few other random things are that he loves to pull his socks off. He is notorious for going around the house in only one sock. And to make it worse, he chews on them and gets them all wet. He is also very cuddly these days. He will just rest his head on your shoulder or chest sometimes and it just melts our hearts.

Another big first was Joseph's first hair cut! I took him on his 10 month birthday. He did really good. He only squirmed a few times and shook his head away from the lady cutting because he could feel her grabbing his hair. I have his precious locks in a little baggie now and he looks nice and spiffy with his first little trim!

Joseph is such a blessing and continues to put a smile on our face every day. Here are some pictures - starting with the first hair cut!

The before shot! Look how long it was over his ears if I didn't keep it tucked behind his ear.
"Hmm, I'm not sure I like this."

"I kinda like this cartoon - it's a good distraction!"

The finished look!

This is what a typical diaper change looks like - ug. He insists on rolling over and climbing to the edge so he can chew on the dresser. (and don't worry, I was standing right next to him as Michael took this picture)

This pic cracks me up. One night he was eating avocado and he was super filthy with it all over his face. Michael grabbed the camera to get a picture of him and by the time he got it, Joseph had pulled off his sock from under the highchair and was just sitting with it in his mouth!

He loves to stand at the window seal now!

The other morning he was playing with his toys in the window seal...he had 2 Little People and 2 balls up there.

He stacked all these blocks himself!

Notice his stacking job of the rings there to the right of him - such a good effort!
Ashes on his forehead from his first Ash Wednesday!
Growth pic with Kermie - giving Kermie some sugars!

To compare - here is his 5 month pic
