Our little guy's name will be Joseph Michael Zajicek!! :)
It was a lot harder decision than either of us expected, but we finally confirmed it a couple of months ago. A lot of people ask us if we are going to shorten it to Joe or Joey, but we both STRONGLY would like him to be called by his full name - Joseph. :)
We also get asked if Joseph is a family name. We actually both have the name in our extended family, but I would say our reason for picking it was more for it's biblical context. For some reason the name Joseph always stood out to me. I love that Joseph is the head of the Holy Family and was the Earthly father to Jesus. I also love the scripture where after Jesus died on the cross, it was Joseph of Arimithea that asked for permission to take Jesus' body and wrap it and annoint it with the various oils. I just always thought that was so amazing that he asked to do that for Jesus' body.
And well, the middle name is a given. I would love for our son to grow up to be just like his daddy. I know Michael will teach our son what it is like to be a good devout Catholic Christian, someone who is kind and loving, someone with a strong conscience and is honest, and a sense of humor that brings a smile to the faces of those around him.
I've also been asked several times for an updated belly pic. Here is my picture from 35 weeks - hanging out in my new favorite room of the house!
And here is a TOTALLY random video from Sunday. It was around dinner time and suddenly we had 3 fire trucks show up, 2 sherriffs, and 3 other fire/rescue vehicles to OUR house! Apparently one of the neighbors thought they saw smoke coming from our roof so they called it in. After standing on top of Joseph's brand new white changing table, the fire man declared he did not see a fire in the attic. In the meantime, all the other fire trucks showed up with firefighters in full gear ready for action. Michael and I were quite confused but finally, they just confirmed that it was just the heat from our dryer vent on the roof that was blowing warm air on the shingles and caused the shingles to warm up some and put off steam. The fire chief said they get a lot of calls like this at during this time of year. And after they left, we saw one of our neighbor's roofs doing the same thing. It was totally an unnerving experience, but I'm just glad it was a false alarm!
