Recently, I had the funnest little "Mommy & Joseph Date" with my sweet little buddy! I decided to take Joseph to see his very first movie in the theater!
We went to see the movie Frozen and oh my goodness, it turned out to be the best little movie! Not only was it a super fun outing for me (I hadn't been to the movie theater since the weekend before Andrew was born!), but it was such a fun thing I could do with just me and Joseph.
We went to the 10:30am showing which was just perfect. Joseph watches only a couple of 30 minute shows a day so I wasn't sure how he would do watching one film for close to 2 hours. I had told myself though that if he got to bored or antsy that we would just leave and head home. But to my surprise, he did great and was very attentive the whole time!
Joseph obviously didn't know much about the movie theater so I tried to explain everything to him and involve him in every little step of the fun. After giving the lady our tickets, we went to get some M&Ms and popcorn for the movie. He definitely enjoyed the snack part of the experience, just like his Momma! :) We got into the theater in time for the last preview before the lights dimmed. He was so cute the whole time. There was a little classic Mickey short film right before the movie started, so several times during the movie he asked about Mickey. I guess he expected Mickey to pop into our movie at some point. But he did great and seemed to enjoy the movie!
Afterwards I was trying to talk to him about it and he kept saying "BIG tv! Big big big tv!" Then he would say "Me like loud!". haha Several times lately we have seen a commercial for Frozen on tv and everytime he calls my name and points at it with this big smile on his face....and knowing he remembers our fun time together makes it even sweeter of a memory for me!
