New Stadium

Sunday, we got to go to a Twins baseball game for the first time in the brand new outdoor stadium. Michael got tickets from work so they were really great seats – on the first deck!

The day started off a little rough when we drove all the way downtown for the game. We were wondering where in the world everyone is and then saw a posting that the game was moved to 7:10pm – instead of 1:10pm. So we went back home and then came back at the REAL game time. :P

The stadium was really nice!!! We really think every seat in that place had to have been a great seat. The stadium is literally flush up against downtown – so it’s was so neat to see all the skyscrapers just past center field. It was a lovely evening for a game too – a nice breeze for the most part. I’ve always been a baseball fan so it was definitely a fun experience!

And yes, we partook in the $9 hamburger basket, $5 Gatorade, $4 bottled water and some ice cream in a little helmet. We had to complete the experience right? :)

The new stadium - "Target Field"
When we arrived 6 hours early to find the place still locked up

Finall inside - game time!

The old man sitting in front of us offered to take our picture - we kinda thought he would actually get the field and downtown view in the shot, but oh well - at least he was nice to take it. :)

The most popular player on the team (and cutest, hehe) - Joe Mauer

downtown view from our seats

On the left is "Minny" and right is Paul (as in Minneapolis and St. Paul) and when the Twins get a home run their little hand shake lights up and goes up and down.

What a stadium!

A little video from the game.
