T-Minus 3 Months & Counting!

That's right people - I have officially 3 months left before my due date! And I think little guy is excited too because today has been one of his most active days yet!

I'm pretty sure he is breach and laying crossways because I feel his movements on each side and at the top. He doesn't like if I lean forward a certain way at my desk so he gives me a little kick to remind me that I'm squishing his limited space. :)

I am feeling good and getting bigger. Michael still says at least 3-4 times a week, "Wow! You are TOTALLY pregnant!" :) Just the past week or two, I've been able to really feel the weight of the pregnancy. When I sit up in the morning to get out of bed, I have to sit there for a second to let the weight sink back down and get all adjusted. :P I had my glucose test last week and the results came back great! I have one more monthly appointment in early February and then I will start going every 2 weeks!

Really the only not so pleasant thing I've been dealing with is my back pain. It's not the typical lower back pregnancy pain; I actually have a shooting pain at the top right side of my back, near my shoulder blade. I tried to just let it pass but after over a month of dealing with it and many moments of almost having my breath taken away by the pain, I decided to follow the doctor's suggestion and try some physical therapy. I've had two sessions so far. She's taught me some stretches and spends a lot of time working out the knots and tenseness in my back. I'm keeping a log of my foods to see if it could possibly be related to what I eat to rule out possible gallbladder problems. But so far, the biggest correlation I have seen has been to the amount of sitting I do and the position. The phys therapist said it could be posture related and that I'm naturally hunching forward due to the increased weight on my front side. So I'm working on that as well.
Every ache and pain is worth it though and I will do anything for my little baby boy! :)

I just can't believe we only have 3 months left. I have all the clothes and gifts we've received so far organized in the guest room/future nursery. We are signed up for our baptism class at church and my goal for this weekend is to finalize what child birth classes we are taking at the hospital so we can get those on the calendar as well.

And in case you're wondering what goes on at 27 weeks....baby is opening and closing his eyes now and has a more regular sleep/awake schedule. (according to my books). He is a little over 2 lbs and is around 15 inches long! It's all just amazing and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for this incredibly joyful experience.

So we finally took down our Christmas tree the middle of last week. I have to say that this was probably one of the worst trees we've ever had. It looked gorgeous from appearance, but I think the thing started dying quickly the day we bought it. By the time Michael took off all the ornaments, lights and garland, literally half of the tree was on the ground. It was pretty humorous in a sad, pathetic way. :P

Look at all the bare branches! :O
Luckily Michael put a tarp down to catch all the needles that came off - so crazy!
In other news, our dear friends Heather and Jim finally had their baby last Thursday night. And...it's a boy!!! His name is James and he will be BFF's with our little guy since they will only be 3 months apart - so fun!! We got to go see them over the weekend in the hospital. The baby was so tiny and sweet. It really made us SOOO excited for our little baby to get here. We were beaming the whole way home!

So sweet and tiny!

I feel like I've really grown a lot over the past month or so belly wise. Baby is moving a lot and I absolutely adore feeling his kicks. Michael has felt it many times and that's so special to be able to share those moments with him now. Part of me feels like April 13 is so far away, but then I think about all the things I want to do between now and then and I realized I better start getting busy! 3 months will go by in a hurry! :) 26 weeks!
