For my birthday, all my family came down for the long Labor Day weekend. So fun! Saturday, we took all the kids to Target to try to get a grandchildren picture for my parents. It was quite the ordeal and was actually pretty humorous to try to get 7 kids under the age of 8 to cooperate and all smile at the same time. Poor Sarah was having a hard time when Katherine would put her down, then the others were getting ancy and having a hard time focusing. Meanwhile Joseph got a hold of Grace's hair and pulled it so hard it made her cry. We tried our best to capture the perfect shot but after a half hour we gave up and headed out without any pictures. :P The guys enjoyed frisbee golf while we went to the mall for a bit to let the kiddos play.
Sat night we had a great fajita dinner and my cousin Nathan and his family were able to come over and join us. Sunday after church, we all headed to the pool where my aunt and uncle were able to come for a bit. We had the pool all to ourselves and luckily it wasn't too hot so we could keep Joseph up there the majority of the time. Then that night after the kids went to bed, we enjoyed our traditional game of Pictionary that of course ended in a friendly debate between the boys vs girls teams! :)
It was so great spending the long weekend with my family and celebrating our first time all together since we moved back! I hate that I didn't capture more pictures of the weekend but here are a few I did get...

Yesterday I was looking around the house for a receipt while he was playing on the floor. I heard him the whole time and when I came back he wasn't on his blanket! To my surprise, this is where I found him! He has started doing consecutive rolls in the same direction - I'm going to have to watch this little guy!
