Last month, we had a really fun playdate with my friend Lauren and her two little ones. Annabelle is 3 months older than Joseph and Kyle is 3 months older than Andrew. So it's really fun that our kids are the same ages. For our playdate, we decided to try something different and we went to the Aquarium downtown. It's a huge restaurant with a massive aquarium in the middle of the restaurant that goes up all the floors. Then around the Aquarium, there are all kinds of attractions and rides.
We decided to go for it and bought the all day pass which gave us access to all of the exhibits and attractions. We started in the aquarium exhibit and I have to say I was quite impressed. They had it laid out really well with lots of cute decorations. And taking kids through the exhibit definitely makes you take your time and see everything! Then we headed inside to pet the sting rays. Joseph had fun touching them as they swam by...until they got hyper by the people next to us feeding them and starting splashing and getting us all wet!
Then we went to lunch in the restaurant and had a great meal. After that, we headed back outside for a ride on the carousel and then the train ride that takes you to inside this tunnel where sharks are swimming above you and on both sides of you. The train stops for a while there and tells you information about the sharks. It was a really neat little train ride. With Joseph next to me and Andrew in my lap I didn't get any pics once we started going on the ride though.
Such a fun day and the kids had a wonderful time!
