See you in March

...are actually the words I said to Michael the other day. We are entering Michael's horrible travel month. Not fun. :(

All this week he has been in the Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky area kicking off the new crop insurance program he started for Cargill. He has worked so hard and so many long hours getting ready for this week! I'm so proud of him! :)

Then next week, he heads to A&M to recruit for Cargill! The guy that asked Michael to go was explaining to him that there for a while they quit recruiting at A&M because for some "odd" reason, people from Texas don't want to leave. Hmmm.....no comment.......haha

Luckily, Michael will be home the whole week of Valentine's day week! But then on President's day (we actually get off work for that day!), he heads to New Orleans for a week for another trip. He comes home Friday night and then leaves the next Tuesday or Wednesday (I forget which) for a continuing education class. Poor guy! But he likes to think of it as "raking up more frequent flyer miles for free plane tickets home!".

I sure miss my guy and can't wait for him to get home tomorrow. I can only imagine how exhausted he must be. So please be sure to keep him in your prayers so he will have safe travels! Luckily, he normally doesn't have to travel much - this month just stinks!

Baby Luke

I'm proud to announce that our new Godson has arrived! Baby Luke was born this morning at 9:14am, weighing in at 6 lb 15oz and 21 inches long!! My sister and baby are doing wonderfully! We are so thankful to God for blessing us with a new nephew and for Kat and Jim having a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery. We can't wait to meet our little Godson!

Fun Weekend

This weekend was so much fun with Ray and Ale! We had a nice and relaxing visit with them with lots of time to just visit and catch up! We did Mall of America on Saturday. We even went to the Nascar store and all rode in Nascar simulators in a race against each other and about 10-15 other people. It was really fun! I drove through the grass a few times and got knocked around a bit - but I managed to come in 15th out of 18th place! Haha Ale got 17th and Michael got dead last! Ray actually did pretty well and got 11th place or so! Then Ray and I rode one of the roller coasters in the amusement park area and it was really fun!

Saturday night, we headed to St. Paul for dinner at Axel's Bonfire Restaurant. It's a pretty neat place and they have "dueling pianos" that started at 10pm, so we stayed and watched that for a while.

Sunday we went for a nice little lunch at a place called Patrick's Bistro & Bakery. It was SO good and felt very much like a little New York café.THEN....we DROVE ONTO Lake Minnetonka! It was nuts! I was driving and was totally tense and scared, but after a while you kind of forget you are frozen water....until you see a big crack that is. Don't worry people - we only did it because there were cars and trucks parked everywhere on top of the lake. So we just stayed in their tracks. And Ale had our escape plan figured out in case it did start cracking - we would just step on the gas and try to outrun the crack! :-)

They headed to the hotel last night to get ready for Ale's work event today. It really was so wonderful to see them and spend time with them! And from what Ale had said, they have redefined their definition of what cold really is. ;)
