Hope you all had a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend! Ours was absolutely fantastic! My parents came up to visit and we had such a great time. They arrived on Saturday morning and then left this afternoon.
Saturday after we picked them up, we had fun showing them our new place! Then we headed to the MN Arboretum which is about 2 minutes from where we live! It was absolutely gorgeous! There were so many beautiful flowers in bloom and it was a gorgeous day - just a tad windy.
Sunday, Mom and I had some girl time with lunch and some shopping while the guys played washers and BBQd. We got home and had a feast with smoked chicken, potato salad and fruit salad. It was such a nice and relaxing day. So fun just to hang out together and be silly.
Yesterday, we went to the little town of Stillwater which is right on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin. We ate at a neat restaurant right on the St. Croix river and had fun shopping up and down Main St. The remainder of the day once we got home was spent playing games. And for the record, I stink at Risk and Scrabble. :\ It was my mom's first time to play Risk and she dominated the world! :)
