All Moved In

Hello from our new house! What a week! We moved loads just about every night last week and finished up yesterday. Luckily our friends Jim & Heather came to help us move the big things yesterday so we are finally all finished and moved in!

We are loving the new place so far. My legs are still trying to get used to all the stairs though! And speaking of stairs - I am amazed by the temperature difference in each level of the house. It can feel pretty warm in the bedrooms, then the living room is comfortable and then the lower level is chilly! I expected the big temp changes in the winter, but didn't expect the bottom level to feel so chilly now! The kitchen cabinets are totally made for giants. I have to use a step stool to reach the 3rd shelf in each cabinet. And then for the top shelf - well that requires me using the step stool to get on the cabinet. Needless to say, the top shelves are pretty bare.

We've gotten through a big chunk of the boxes already - mainly b/c we could hardly walk with all the boxes everywhere. Plus it's just nice to make this place our new home. I can't help but to think back to what we were doing this time one year ago. On this day last year, we were having our going away party at our house in Houston. And then we moved up here Memorial Day weekend last year. I can not believe it's been a year already! It feels like time has flown since we've moved here, but then when I think back to things we did last year, it seems like a long time ago.

Anyways, sorry to go off on that tangent, but it has just been on my mind. But it makes me happy to be in our new place and I look forward to all the new memories we will have here!
