I am currently 22 weeks. I had my monthly doctor's appointment earlier this week and it went great. The doctor measured my tummy and I'm measuring right on course - for now at least! A couple of weeks ago, I finally started feeling baby boy move. I've realized that feeling baby kicks is by far my most favorite part of being pregnant. It's such an incredible feeling to feel that sweet baby moving inside you!
When I had my doctor's appointment and the nurse was listening to the baby's heartbeat, she said it sounded like he still had his back to us based off the way the heartbeat sounded. When she was holding the little wand on my tummy the baby kicked - she heard it on the machine and I sure felt it! I think he was saying "Get that thing off me!". :)
I feel really good - still tired at times so I try to take advantage of Joseph's nap time to get some rest myself. But other than a few back aches here and there, I feel wonderful and am enjoying every second of this special time!
We are trying to slowly start teaching Joseph that there is a baby in Mommy's tummy now that I'm showing more obviously. In church on Sunday when he was sitting in between me and Michael in the pew, he put his hand on my tummy and looked up at me. I whispered to him that was where the baby was. Then he turned to Michael and pointed to Michael's stomach. So we may have to start emphasizing that the baby only grows in Mommy's tummy! :)
