5 YEARS!

Can you believe today is our 5 year anniversary! 5 years ago today, I married my best friend and someone who has made me happier than I could ever imagine! Not to get all mushy, but lately I have just been thinking a lot about my relationship with Michael. I truly feel like I love him so much more and even deeper than the day we got married, and I didn’t think that was possible. We really have so much fun together and are so much alike now it’s funny. I find myself making puns and I see Michael asking how many weight watcher points some foods would be (if he was actually counting points). Haha

It’s crazy to me just how fast five years have gone by. It’s so fun to think about what we were doing this time five years ago – getting ready for the wedding, etc. It’s also fun to look back on the past five years to think about all the changes in our lives, places we’ve visited, and friends we’ve made! It’s also quite bizarre that in 5 years we are in our 4th home!

We plan to go to a nice dinner downtown tonight to celebrate. We are going to eat at a place called FireLake Grill House. I’ve heard it’s yummy and a nice place so we are looking forward to it. Then we are headed out of town. Michael’s original boss from when we moved here offered to let us use his cabin this weekend because he wouldn’t be using it. So, we will drive up tonight and spend the weekend “up north”. We are finally getting warmer weather and back into the mid 70s (don’t ask) so at least we will have a nice weekend to enjoy!

To my Michael, thank you for 5 incredible years! Thank you for loving me and being there for me. You are an incredible husband and a wonderful person. You inspire me in so many ways and I admire your gentle heart and your faith constantly inspires me. Thank you for all the adventures we have had over the past 5 years! I love you fella!
