Last weekend we went to Temple to visit Michael's parents. While Michael and Jimmy went out to the pecan orchard to tinker around, Michael's mom and I (and Joseph) went to a little town called Salado. They have a lot of cute little unique stores for shopping and little cafes. We went and browsed through all the shops and enjoyed a nice lunch. Here are a couple of pictures from our day in Salado:
Monday, we had a playdate with our friends from the library. We went to a nearby park for a picnic lunch and then some baby swings! It started off a rainy day but cleared up nice by the middle of our time at the park. Unfortunately, Joseph got his first sunburn. :( I felt SO bad (and still do) but I was just fooled by the cloud cover and the fact that it's February.
Then today we had a playgroup with our Mom's group at church at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Bridget and I met up in the parking lot and headed in together which was good because we never ended up meeting up with the other girls from the playgroup afterall since we got there late and had to eat lunch at a different time. But it was a really fun day with Bridget & Alexandra. We toured the little kid stuff at the "Kid Country" and saw lots of neat animals and exhibits.
We got to see the pig races which was about the cutest thing ever. We also saw an area of expectant animals as well as ones that just had babies in the last day or two. We also watched some chicks hatch! I'm pretty sure Bridget and I had the best time but the babies had fun cruising around in the strollers.
