Wow - has it been football mania here lately!

We went to Heather & Jim's house to watch the game and the game was just SO close. My hands were in tense fists as they continued to fumble the ball. Oy. (and I'm not even that huge of a football fan.) And boy was it the talk of the city. The news stations have just been freaking out big time in anticipation of the game. Now they have to recap the sad outcome. Next will be the continued speculation about Favre's plans for next year. It was in every conversation at work too! :P These Minnesotans love their football! They are just so hard core!

In other news, we've been enjoying the "January Thaw" with temps in the low-mid 30s for a couple of weeks now. January has been great! Although a front is coming in now that is ruining all that - so now we're back into the teens for the rest of the week. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!

My coworker and I went today to tour this events facility on Lake Minnetonka that holds all these outdoor activities (ice fishing in a 60 person tent, ice bowling, ice pool, ice boot hockey, dog sled tours of the lake, etc.). It was SUPER windy today, so put that with the 18 degree temps and BURR! A couple of times I was trying to ask the sales guy questions as we were walking and I literally kind of gasped or lost my breathe because those wind bursts were just brutal! Is it almost spring yet????
