Mess
Ok, as happy as I am about our upcoming move...I have to say that I do NOT enjoy the moving process. Ug.
Our house is a mess and it's driving me nuts! It's getting better day by day as we keep packing stuff up. I'm not a huge neat freak by any means, but I typically try to at least organize our mess. Not really able to do that with a move. And since I'm home all day every day, I try to just put my back to it all and pretend it isn't there. :P
To add a few more challenges into the mix, our landlords have to show the place tomorrow afternoon to a potential renter. They know we're about to move and that the place is pretty nuts with boxes everywhere but it's still stressful to try to tidy stuff up a tiny bit. Then, today Michael got a fever. It got up to 101 and then we were able to dig some tylenol out of a box in the garage. I'm hoping it doesn't turn into something worse because him being sick is definitely not part of the plan days before we move. ;)
Joseph is doing great as usual and is so precious and sweet! He was in such a happy mood today and just smiled constantly. He has really become a daddy's boy lately. I'll give him my best jokes and silly faces and he'll give me some smiles. But Michael comes home and just looks at him or says "hi" and Joseph almost starts laughing. :) It's really sweet to see their connection and the way they love each other.
Joseph seems to be changing like crazy lately. He is starting to make some new sounds and his neck gets stronger by the day. Today I tried him in the exercauser just to see how he would do. I propped him up in the back with a beach towel and he really did so great! He just loves standing up now that his neck is stronger. He gets this cute look on his face that just shows how amazed he is at everything he can see how from this new perspective! :)

Going Away Party
Well, we are getting closer to the big move back to Texas! Michael gave his notice to work yesterday. They said he could make his last day be this Friday so he is finishing up everything this week! Then next week (still firming up exact moving plans), my Dad will fly up to help Michael drive things down and Joseph and I will fly down and meet them in Houston.
This past Sunday, our sweet friends Jim & Heather threw a going away party for us at their house. We had all of our friends there and it was such a fun and special day! We had a similar party when we moved from Houston with our friends there, so it was really neat to have a similar party here!
Jim BBQ'd some hamburgers and hot dogs and everyone brought a side dish - everything was SO yummy! They also had bean bag toss so it was fun to just play and visit with everyone. Apparently they ordered some Texas weather for us because it was awfully hot and humid. I am going to have some serious adjusting to do after being spoiled with cool MN summers for the past 4 years.
It was such a fun party but it also really made reality set in that we are leaving all of our wonderful friends here. These friends have been such a big part of our lives the past 4 years and have welcomed us into their lives and made living in Minnesota quite enjoyable! They helped us experience so many of the fun things that MN has to offer - so thank you all again for being so wonderful!
