Happy Mother's Day to my own sweet mother, my sisters and all my friends out there! I hope everyone had a wonderful day!
For Mother's Day this year, we decided to go on our first out of town trip to see my parents in Kilgore. Andrew isn't a very good car traveler but we took Michael's truck so I could sit in the back seat in between he and Joseph. And luckily, the 4 hour trip went just fine. We stopped one time both there and on the way back and Andrew slept for the majority of the remainder of the trip! We went up Saturday and came back Sunday so it was a quick trip, but it went well for our first out of town experience with Andrew.
We couldn't have asked for more gorgeous weather. It was sunny and low 80s and just gorgeous. It made for a perfect day to just be outside all day, and of course Joseph was in heaven getting to play outside at my parents house all day! He has so much fun there! My sister Kristina was there with her family, so Joseph had fun playing with his 3 cousins. They played on the swing set, rode scooters, played basketball, rode bikes and played with all the dogs in the neighborhood. :)
Sunday we had a lovely Mass at my parents church where Father Xavier introduced Andrew to the church as his most recent baptism baby! :) It was so wonderful getting away for an overnight trip and to see family! I'm so thankful to have seen my mom too and getting to spend time with her and watching how much she and my dad enjoy my baby boys. Mom and Dad both got so many good coos and cuddles with Andrew and it just warms my heart!
