We had Michael's parents here this past weekend for a visit. It was really great to have them back and to experience some beautiful fall weather! Saturday, we headed to the Minnetonka Apple Orchard. It was a gorgeous day so it was perfect for apple picking - which is my favorite fall time activity here. Our favorite apple, the honeycrisp, was harvesting, so we picked a whole peck full. That night while the guys watched football, we made a homemade apple pie. Then Sunday, I made apple crisp! Mmm!
The beginning part of Sunday was completely disasterous. After church, we decided to drive to St. Paul to go see the Titanic exhibit at the Science Museum. After driving all the way there, we get there and they were not allowing any more groups to start the tour because the musuem was closing early for a private event.
So, we decided to go to the Minnehaha Falls - a water fall east of downtown Minneapolis. After missing several exits and getting completely lost, we finally found it and the water fall was totally dried up from the drought. Sigh. So we took a couple of pics in the park and then headed home to play Scrabble. At least we can say we tried right? :) We had a very good time with Faith & Jimmy - come back again soon! :)

There should be water flowing behind us downstream from the waterfall... :\
