Mother's Day

I had such a lovely Mother's Day this year.  Michael had the idea for us to all go to Kemah for the morning and enjoy all the fun stuff Kemah has to offer.  He knows I love doing stuff like that - especially for the kids to see and do new things.

We got there nice and early around 10am and did several of the rides and games on the boardwalk.  I rode the carousel with the boys and then Michael rode the little train with them while we took turns staying with Matthew. 

Then we went to lunch at Landry's Seafood for a great meal!  It was great we got there early because it was sure crowded when we left.  After lunch, we walked around the boardwalk a bit more and then got some dippin' dots ice cream treat before heading back home.   It was a great morning and I was so happy to spend it with my 4 boys!  

There are still times I can't believe that I am a mom - especially to 3 sweet little boys who I love and adore more than anything else.  I can not be more thankful that God blessed me with the opportunity to be a mom to these little angels.

Matthew's Baptism

On April 18, our precious Matthew was baptized into the Catholic church!  What a special day it was!

Due to some scheduling difficulties, we decided to have the baptism at my parents' church in Longview. And the baptism was performed by the priest that married me and Michael who also baptized Andrew - so special! My family all was there and Michael's parents and Lauren and Luke were able to make it too.  And as with all my children's baptisms, no matter how much I have tried to schedule feedings and naps accordingly, it failed and poor Matthew cried for most of it because he was tired and just wanted to go to sleep.   He settled down for the middle part though which was nice.  :)    

My sister Kristina and brother in law Oscar were his Godparents and we were honored to have them play a special role in Matthew's big day.    We were so happy to finally have our little one baptized and receive his first sacrament!   We finished up the day back at my parents' house with lunch and party afterwards with so many loving arms to hold and cuddle the little guest of honor.  :)
