He's Back!

My long lost husband has come back from Chicago! He had a really good trip there for their annual sales meeting. He got to go to a Cubs game, top of Sears Tower, and saw fireworks at the Navy pier while he was there. His flight back was cancelled, so that meant he got to change to an earlier one and ended up getting back at 6:00 instead of 9:30! We will most likely just spend the weekend at home since Michael's been away all week. Plus it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow.

Here are pics from Michael's trip that he took:

Quiet Days

Not too much to report on our end right now...we had a quiet weekend at home, did some good cleaning, watched tv, etc. Very relaxing! Michael left for Chicago on Sunday. They went to a really nice (and $$$) dinner Sunday night with his team. Tonight they are at a Cubs game! Sounds like they are definitely staying busy, but doing some fun stuff too!

I think Michael and I both thought we would get to sleep SO good while he was away since we would have the bed all to ourselves. Well I haven't been able to fall asleep both nights and Michael can't sleep b/c there isn't any type of fan or humming noise. Personally, I think he just misses me hogging the bed and laying sideways. :)

Sunday, I went and saw Harry Potter at the movies! It was my first time to go by myself, but it was actually pretty fun. I think it kinda hit me Sunday that I was all alone, but I've been doing better now that the work week started back up. :)

Yesterday at work, I had lunch with a couple of girls so that was really fun. And at the church that we visited for the 2nd time this past weekend, it turns out they have a young adults group (ages 24-35) for married and single people for a time to get together for social events but also for prayer and service. So we will look into that and see about checking that out one day!

That's about it....nothing terribly exciting since it's been so quiet lately! Well actually, here is a random thing to laugh about.....I have seen 3 wild turkeys walking around Minneapolis. ???? I don't get it! I saw one (on 2 occasions) walking on the grass on the side of the FREEWAY and I saw 2 others on Friday on the road that Cargill is on. They're just walking around like it's not wierd. ?? Maybe they're trying to blend in before the Thanksgiving hunters come out. :)
