Battleship Texas

Another post from a May event!  Michael's parents came down for a weekend and we decided to go be local tourists and go to the Battleship Texas...about 40 minutes from our house.  I hadn't been in such a long time so it was fun to go back as a family!

Joseph and Andrew had so much climbing all through the battleship.  It's nice that everything is able to be touched!  ;)    I forgot just how tiny those staircases and ladders throughout the ship were...eek!  The boys did a great job climbing up the steps and Michael and Jimmy carried them down because it was just so steep.  Not to mention it was a crazy windy day which made all those outdoor staircases even trickier.   Little Matthew did great and slept just about the entire time. So Faith and I took turns staying with him on the main deck in the stroller.

It was a great day and more fun memories!

Lots to keep these guys busy!

I finally managed to get in one of the pics!

Fun day!  (And Matthew still asleep in the stroller!)

Festival Sunday

Back in May, Michael's sister Lauren and her husband Luke invited us up to their church's fundraising festival.  So we took the boys and met them there and had a great time.

I was very impressed by all the fun activities they had for kids, live music, yummy bbq dinners, etc.  The boys had a lot of fun too!  They did a little pony pulled wagon ride, rode a little "train", bean bag toss and more fun games.  We really enjoyed ourselves and had fun spending time with Aunt Lauren & Uncle Luke!

On the "train" ride.  This was the first time the boys went on something like this without one of us in there with them. It felt a little weird to have them just drive off but they had fun and did great.

Aunt Lauren keeping Matthew cool in the shade.  Look how sweet he is in his little outfit and matching hat. ;)

They had one pony they used just for photos.  Andrew loved it!

Joseph did great on the big bouncy slide!
