Kilgore

Last weekend, we took Joseph on his first trip to my parents house in Kilgore. My mom had planned a super fun weekend for all of us to all spend the weekend together for our first time at their place since we moved back to Texas.

Saturday morning, we went to Danville farms which is close to their house. The farm has peach trees, Christmas trees in the winter and in the fall they now have a corn maze and other fun activities for families and kids including a petting zoo area, big bouncy thing (which was super fun even for us grownups), a tractor ride around the farm and a wagon ride which was the bumpiest thing I've ever been on. :P

Back at my parents house that afternoon, my mom had fun little Halloween games planned for the 5 big kids. It was nice to see the kids have fun together, the guys play frisbee golf, and us girls to just have time to talk and be together.

Sunday morning, we had a professional photographer come out to my parents house to take a big group photo of all 15 of us. It was a bit tricky because it was right at Joseph's nap time, but we did manage to get some good shots! Once I get the images of them I will try to post them if I can.

It was such a fun weekend all together!

A view of the corn maze side of the farm.
The old country wagon - totally reminded me of Little House on the Prairie days with the way it was decorated on the inside

Zoo Boo

Last Friday we went with our Tiny Tots play group to the Zoo for the Houston Zoo Boo. All the kids dress up in their costumes and they have various Halloween decorations and activities throughout the zoo.

We got to see a few more exhibits this time that we didn't see last time which was fun. I'm not sure if I said this last time or not, but I love zoos! I'm excited that the weather is cooling down so that Joseph and I can go more often!

For his first Halloween, Joseph is going to be Batman! I was having such a hard time finding a costume that he could just casually wear out and about without burning up in a super thick costume. Then Joseph's Aunt Lauren found him this cute onesie at the Gap outlet so we decided Batman it was!

Duh-nuh-nuh-nuh Bat-Baby! (to be sang in the Batman them song)
Check out those little abs! hehe
