November Friend Stuff

A couple of weekends ago, we went to a Vikings game with our friends. We decided to tailgate before the game. It was MUCH better than last time. It was in the mid to upper 30s this time, but that felt heavenly considering it was 3 degrees the last time we tailgated (um yeah, that was for the birds). We had hot dogs, chips and dips, etc. and then headed into the game where the Vikings defeated the Lions. It was something fun to do with a big group of friends!

Then, one of our friends found out we weren't going home for Thanksgiving this year so she proposed we do a Friends Thanksgiving. We did that today and it really was so nice. Michael smoked a turkey all day yesterday so all we had to do was heat it up today. Everyone brought a dish and we had one huge feast! I think we will be full until we have another feast on Thursday!

I realized just how blessed we are to have such good friends here. We've had 3 offers from people to get together and do stuff over the holiday because they are all worried we will be lonely. We don't have big plans - we'll just take it easy and then cook a small turkey for the two of us on Thursday with all the fixings. And of course keep our fingers crossed that the A&M/U.T. game is not a disaster. :\
