He has been doing SO much better at nighttime...and that definitely results in a happier mommy! ;) He is still eating like crazy - his favorites are avocado pieces, cheese, and sweet potato. He actually gets frustrated sometimes when he runs out of his finger foods!
As mentioned in the previous post, I think the most exciting new skill Joseph has accomplished is him learning to crawl! Every day he is going further and further. Just a few minutes ago before bed, I actually got him to crawl all the way across the living room to get to me. He's so cute when he does it because he looks down at his hands and then sometimes he gets too excited or gets going to fast and he'll nose dive. But he has already learned how to get back up onto his knees and from his knees he can sit down. So needless to say, the majority of my day is spent trying to keep him from touching things that he shouldn't touch.
Another skill that has become his favorite thing to play is stacking. He likes to stack the blocks on top of each other, as well as his stacking cups. He also enjoys his music toys and gets really excited when he makes noise on his little piano and xylophone.
He sure loves his daddy and always reaches for Michael's nose. These days, he is all about reaching for things....or really reaching for everything. Even when things are far away or he sees someone walk into a room from 20 feet away, he will stick out his hand for them. He had a great time at Cheesecake Factory the other night trying to grab all the waiters as they walked by!
A few other random things are that he loves to pull his socks off. He is notorious for going around the house in only one sock. And to make it worse, he chews on them and gets them all wet. He is also very cuddly these days. He will just rest his head on your shoulder or chest sometimes and it just melts our hearts.
Another big first was Joseph's first hair cut! I took him on his 10 month birthday. He did really good. He only squirmed a few times and shook his head away from the lady cutting because he could feel her grabbing his hair. I have his precious locks in a little baggie now and he looks nice and spiffy with his first little trim!
Joseph is such a blessing and continues to put a smile on our face every day. Here are some pictures - starting with the first hair cut!

I think his facial features are developing a nice blend of both of y'all! He is such a cute baby! This is one of my favorite stages when they start playing with their toys and getting into stuff and you really start to see their personality develop! My girls are both notorious at this age (and for many more months) flipping over the instant you lay them down for a diaper change! I got good at holding their feet in one hand and using that forearm to keep their chest down while wiping and changing their diaper with the other hand. The pics of his haircut are cute. It was probably the pink chair and purple bumbo that was making him squirm at first! Haha!
Sweet boy--10 months already?? Little Jofus, you need to slow down a bit...right now! Your Godmommy is missing you and wishing she could see you soon.
I love seeing your living room covered in toys. And might I say, you are developing quite the good fine motor skills with all that stacking and reaching that you're doing! And it sounds like you are keeping Mommy and Daddy on their toes now that you are mobile. Your little world just got a lot bigger, didn't it sweetness!
I can't wait to see you again soon and especially see you with your cousins now that you can keep up with them a bit. Oh and of course you are looking like a handsome little guy with that big boy haircut. What a special first!
I love you sweet boy!
Godmommy
I can't wait for James & Joseph to play. We're going to have such a blast in Florida! I love the photos. My favorite is Joseph eating his sock in the high chair.
Priceless. :)
