A special thank you to all those who have served our country those that lost their lives for the freedoms we enjoy in this wonderful country! We especially are thankful for our grandfathers that served in WWII and how brave they are for all they did!
To enjoy the long holiday weekend, we invited Michael's parents to come and spend the weekend with us! Saturday, we enjoyed just a long day at the house with lots of time for Joseph to play with his Grandma and Grandpa Z! He just loves them both and especially took to Jimmy. Everytime Joseph would see him, he would walk over to Jimmy and hold his arms up to be picked up (and if Jimmy was sitting down or not looking, Joseph would pat his legs to get his attention)! So sweet!
Sunday after trying out mass at another nearby Catholic Church, we decided to go to the Science Museum in the museum district. Since it was a last minute decision, I unfortunately did not have my camera to take any pictures. We had a good time and enjoyed the different displays they had. We all agreed that we liked the Science Museum in Minnesota a bit better though because we had taken Faith & Jimmy once when they came to visit. ;)
Each night, Michael grilled us some yummy food. Saturday night we had bruschetta, pork chops and homemade mac & cheese. Then last night we had BBQ chicken, corn on the cob and beans. It's nice that the evenings here are still cool enough to be able to sit outside and enjoy the nice evening. And luckily we have lots of shade in our backyard that time of day so it feels quite nice with the gulf breeze!
Today (Monday), Michael's parents left in the morning. Then after lunch, we decided to take Joseph to our neighborhood pool since it just opened for the season. It's such a great pool with a big splash pad/kiddie pool area and a large open pool too. Joseph had such a blast and did so great! We took some of his pool toys and bathtub toys and he loved getting to play with those. It makes me so excited for taking him this summer during the days!

| Loving the kiddie pool. There's the splash pad area back behind us and then this large beach entry kiddie pool has all kind of squirt toys and gets up to 1ft, 6 in. |
