Family Celebration

A couple of weekends ago, we had Michael's parents come in town for a visit to celebrate Faith's birthday!

The boys had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Z!  It was nice having Faith and Jimmy here to show them all the new things we have done and added to the house since they saw it last.  We had such a great visit with them and enjoyed the weekend.

Saturday during the day we just spent the day here playing with the boys and visiting.  That evening, Lauren and Luke came over for the birthday celebration.  We enjoyed playing bocce ball in our backyard while Michael grilled us some fajitas!  Earlier in the day I had made Faith a birthday cake...the one Grandma Springer has always made for her birthday - a cherry pecan cake.  Mmm, it is so tasty!

After the boys went to bed that night, we all watched a movie together.  It was something very exciting for me and Michael because we realized it was probably the first movie we had watched since Andrew was born!  Now that he is finally sleeping at night, I can finally stay up to watch a movie!  :)

Sunday we took Faith and Jimmy to the church we have been liking (still trying to figure out which church we will officially join).  Then we came back home to have more play time while Jimmy and Michael fixed something on my car.  Such a great visit and thankful as always for such a great family!

Cherry pecan cake!
Love this picture!

In my stack of old napkins, I found one 30th birthday napkin that Faith eagerly volunteered to use - hehe
