March!

Well, it's safe to say that we have now officially survived our 3rd Minnesota winter! I'm sure we will still have another cold burst and another round of snow, but in the meantime I'm going to enjoy the way things have been going!

We've had temperatures in the upper 30s-low 40's for the past week AND I'm happy to report that the next 7 days are supposed to be in the mid 40's! WAHOO! It got to 45 degrees today, so that meant the screen door was open! It felt so refreshing to have some fresh air for a change. Michael even took it as a day to vacuum out the 3 inches of salt on the inside of his truck (they put salt on the roads to melt the ice)! (I did my car a couple of weeks ago.) The snow is melting - and not quick enough for us!

On a different note...
Not sure if you remember, but a year or two ago I blogged about my new adult taste buds and the new foods and drinks I was trying. Totally crazy for me since I'm a pretty picky eater. Well apparently, my taste buds are still maturing! Here is my new list of things I've tried and actually enjoyed lately:

-Malbec red wine (totally not normally a red wine drinker)
-Cream cheese (I've only really eaten it in dips or spreads, but now I like it on bagels plain)
-Sea bass (I had this at a luncheon the other day, not sure if it was the actual sea bass I liked or the Miso glaze that was on it) :P
-And the big one....wait for it....SUSHI!! I know! I couldn't believe it either! I've only had California Rolls because I'm trying to start off slow, but I have to admit I even went back for a second! :)
