The first day we went by Minnehaha Falls. If you remember, when they came up last fall we went there and the waterfall was completely dried up. This time it was flowing in full force and was so pretty!!
The best in-laws ever! :)

Downstream at the fallsAfter the waterfall, we headed to the Summit Beer Brewery for a free tour of the brewery followed by 3 free beers. And I have an announcement - I'm a beer drinker now! Well, I'm not hard core - but I do really like Bud Light with Lime now. Mmm! And at the beer brewery I made myself finish a Heffeweissen beer. :P I followed it with a root beer though, hehe. Faith & Jimmy enjoyed the tour and samples too but after Jimmy spilled beer everywhere we knew it was time to head out (haha).
Cheers!Friday, we went to Stillwater which is the cute little town on the St. Croix River which is the border between MN and WI. We did a little bit of shopping in the little stores and enjoyed a gorgeous lunch outside. What a beautiful day!
We walked over the lift bridge and then were in Wisconsin! That night when we got back we went to Excelsior (a little town nearby that is right on the Lake Minnetonka). We got custard from our favorite place and then went for a sunset walk along the shores of the lake.
For the rest of the weekend, Michael had a special project for us. Here, a lot of people play a bean bag toss game. So Michael decided to make a homemade set customized with the A&M logo. It was quite the project but they turned out great and was super fun to play!

The woodworkers!
In between the project, we had an early birthday party for Michael
The artists at work while Jimmy and I enjoyed a beer and a snack! (see this is proof of me drinking a beer!)For the 4th of July, we headed back to Excelsior for the 4th of July celebration. They had the Minnesota Orchestra perform and it was packed! Then they had a platform out on the lake that shot up fireworks and it was such a great show!
