Happenings

We had a very fun and busy weekend last weekend! Friday night we braved a big snow storm and had a nice dinner with Heather & Jim. When we woke up the next morning we saw our fresh 9 inches of snow!

Saturday, we spent the whole day shopping for bedroom furniture. After years of going back and forth, we finally convinced ourselves that we NEED a king sized bed. Michael and I aren't the most compatible sleepers. And now that I'm pregnant and limited to only sleeping on my sides, apparently he's not a fan of me sleeping in the middle of the bed with my knees in his back. We went to 5 different places. I have to say that I don't really enjoy furniture shopping. The sales people totally stress me out and I don't like the feeling of being watched/stalked. I know they are just doing their jobs, but they really ruin my furniture shopping experience. Anyways....we finally found a set we both loved. It should arrive in the store later this week and we are hoping to have it delivered over the weekend or early next week at the latest.

Sunday, we had our friends over to watch the Vikings game - really just a reason to party. :) Michael grilled fajitas (despite the fact that the high was 15 degrees that day) and we all had a great time.

Today we got our Christmas tree and got it all decorated. It's so pretty and the perfect little size. It's so fun to think about what next Christmas will be like with our little guy possibly crawling all around! :) Speaking of which...I think I finally have felt the baby move!! I felt him over the weekend and have been feeling him every day since. At least I'm pretty sure that's what it is - that or I have some serious twitches in my stomach area. :)

Our typical snow shot - showing how much is piled on the BBQ pit :)

I love seeing your little Texas ornaments on the tree every year! Maybe one day you can put a Minnesota one on when you're back in Texas. ;-)

Baby kicks are amazing, yayyayayayayay!

Oh yes, and I meant to say that you will never ever regret a king-sized bed. We got one while I was pregnant with Beth and it's just a necessity if you're going to be cosleeping, it makes life so much easier. I kind of figure you'll probably be wanting to snuggle up with both your big fella and your little guy. :-)

Nice tree!

Again, I am super jealous of the king bed. Great purchase! I'm totally with you on the furniture shopping. I want to get all mean with the sales people and tell them to just leave me alone!

Cute tree! And cute baby bump! You can really see it with the tshirt on! What's up with the record amounts of snow? Burr! Only a Texan would be grilling (and grilling fajitas at that) with a temperature of 15! haha!
