Andrew's Baptism

On April 20, we officially welcomed Andrew as a member of the Catholic Church through the Sacrament of Baptism!  It was such a wonderful and special day for him!

We had our families here and our close friends Bridget and Joe with their girls.  We were so thrilled that the priest that married us 9 years ago, Father Xavier, drove down from Longview to baptize Andrew.  It definitely made it even that much more special for us.   Michael's sister Lauren and our brother in law Luke were Godparents!

We had the baptism in the chapel of our church, St. John Vianney at 11am.  It was such a perfect spring day with beautiful blue skies too!  Andrew did well.  He got a little hungry in the middle of the ceremony but luckily I had brought a bottle with us so that made him happy.

After the baptism, we headed back to our house for a lunch/reception.  We had pulled pork sandwiches and Lauren made a beautiful cake for dessert.  We had washers and stuff set out in the backyard too that everyone enjoyed.   Joseph's birthday party was that evening at 4pm, so after the baptism party and lunch, we redecorated with Mickey and that's how we did both events on the same day!
